This section allows a person to create a user profile on the CSD. This user profile will enable the user to create and maintain a supplier’s information and other users (also known as secondary users) to assist with the maintenance of the supplier’s information.

The primary user has the following functionality available:

• Create and maintain other users that may assist with the maintenance of the supplier’s information;
• Create and maintain supplier information;
• Receive the following user related notifications and email links:
• account activation emails;
• one time pin (OTP) to activate account;
• cellphone number reset;
• and change incorrect email address.
• Receive the following supplier related notifications and email links:
• OTP to create and maintain banking information;
• association requests and confirmations;
• and notification when supplier information is submitted on the overview tab.

For local numbers the verification check will accept the following number format:

• Must start with a “0” (zero)
• Followed by a minimum of 2 digits (1 to 9)
• Separator optional (space or “-“)
• 2 to 3 groups of digits, separated by space and/or “-“
• Each group of digits consist at minimum of 3 digits (0 to 9)
• Minimum length of the field is 10
• Maximum length of the field is 12
• Accepted format of local numbers include:
• 0823456789
• 082 123 1234
• 082-1234567

For international numbers the verification check will accept the following number format:

• Must start with a “+” (plus)
• Followed by a minimum of 2 digits (0 to 9)
• Separator required (space or “-“)
• 2 to 5 groups of digits
• Each group consists of 2 to 4 digits (0-9), separated by space and/or “-“
• Minimum length of the field is 15
• Maximum length of the field is 20
• Acceptable format of international numbers include:
• +12-12-12-12-1234
• +12 123 123 123 1234
• +123 12 12 1234
• +123-12-123-1234
• +123 123456 123

Identification number (i.e. South African or Foreign) flagged as a government employee will be prevented from creating a CSD user account.
